Lauren Heller came to Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø to pursue her passion for dance. As a sophomore and captain of the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø dance team, she was looking forward to a year full of classes, practices, performances, and leadership opportunities. Then, on Sept. 27, everything changed.
Volunteers In Action of Central Kansas has been awarded the 2026 AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP grant, allowing the organization to once again partner with AmeriCorps in strengthening volunteerism and meeting critical community needs throughout Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø County.
The League of Women Voters of Great Bend, in partnership with the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Foundation, invites the community to support the newly established Bev Komarek and Rose Kelly Memorial Scholarship by participating in a fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. July 23 at Pizza Hut, 2006 Main St., in Great Bend.
The Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Community Music School is now enrolling students for the 2026-2027 academic year, offering students from surrounding communities ages 6-18 access to high-quality, affordable music lessons while providing valuable teaching experience and scholarship support for Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø music students.
