Calling all dancers! Â鶹¹ÙÍø is hosting the first round of auditions for its dance company, Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dance Theatre, from 10-11:15 a.m. March 28 in Studio 34, located in the Sunflower housing units on Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s campus.Ìý
Dance Theatre Students will have the opportunity to learn what it’s like to work in a dance company setting, perform in diverse venues, attend workshops and see dance concerts live. Students will get to experience the art form of dance in the styles of modern-contemporary, jazz, tap and ballet.
To be considered for company placement, dance students must have at least two years of dance experience and plan to attend Â鶹¹ÙÍø in the fall of 2020. Once accepted, students will register for DANC 1001 Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dance Theatre (2 credits) meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m.
Barton’s Performing Arts Dance Program is offering generous performance scholarships to Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dance Theatre members. The dance program is also providing scholarships for students who wish to take other dance classes.
