Barton's Early Childhood Education Program will host its second annual "Wheels and Squeals" free family event for children up to eight years old from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 19, in the Technical Building parking lot at the northeast corner of campus.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of interactive activities, including booths, a petting zoo, a Touch-a-Truck experience featuring tractors, police cars, and fire trucks, a welding simulator, and birdhouse building. The first 30 families in attendance will also receive a free children's book.
Barton Instructor and Coordinator of Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education KellyAnn Bonnell said the event continues to grow while encouraging children to learn through hands-on experiences.
"We're excited to bring families together for another morning of exploration, creativity, and play," she said. "Our goal is to provide meaningful activities that spark curiosity while connecting families with community resources and the many opportunities available at 鶹."
