Local financial planner Cole Schwarz gave his oath of office and joined the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Board of Trustees during the board’s meeting Tuesday evening.

Schwarz said he believes the college is a tremendous asset to Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø County and central Kansas.

Barton held its first-ever “Summer Virtual Student Recital†Friday featuring students who took advantage of the brand-new Summer Lessons program.

Summer lessons have not been offered in the past, but in light of the pandemic Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Music Department administrators and faculty wanted to give music enthusiasts and Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø students the opportunity to take lessons on the instrument of their choice.

Students who graduate from a nursing program are required to take an exam to receive their nursing license through the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). The class of 2020 broke the already impressive previous records with a 100-percent pass rate for both the Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) exams.
