Barton's Early Childhood Education Program will host its second annual "Wheels and Squeals" free family event for children up to eight years old from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 19, in the Technical Building parking lot at the northeast corner of campus.

As the U.S. Army commemorates its 250th anniversary of service to the nation, the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Alumni and Friends Association is proud to recognize Â鶹¹ÙÍø at Fort Riley alumnus Sanjay White, whose journey reflects the dedication, resilience, and commitment to service that have defined generations of American soldiers.
Lauren Heller came to Â鶹¹ÙÍø to pursue her passion for dance. As a sophomore and captain of the Â鶹¹ÙÍø dance team, she was looking forward to a year full of classes, practices, performances, and leadership opportunities. Then, on Sept. 27, everything changed.
Volunteers In Action of Central Kansas has been awarded the 2026 AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP grant, allowing the organization to once again partner with AmeriCorps in strengthening volunteerism and meeting critical community needs throughout Â鶹¹ÙÍø County.

The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Foundation will host the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Chamber Coffee from 9 to 10 a.m. July 23 at the Best Western Angus Inn Courtyard, 2920 10th St., with programming beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The Shafer Art Gallery at Â鶹¹ÙÍø is accepting submissions from Kansas artists for its annual “Friends and Acquaintances†exhibition through the submission deadline at 10 a.m. Aug. 24.
Barton is proud to announce its selection as one of eighteen new schools to join the eighth year of the prestigious Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI). Supported by a generous $75,000 grant.
