Sen. Bob Dole donated $20,000 to Camp Hope, a weeklong getaway for children with cancer held at Camp Aldrich. The funds are to be used for the benefit of Camp Hope. The Camp Aldrich Dining and Events Center burned down in April of 2014, which was Camp Hope’s preferred venue.

The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Planetarium will feature movies utilizing the full-dome projection system throughout the spring semester.Ìý The Planetarium is located in the Science Building. Enter through the sliding doors on the north side.Ìý Admission is free.
Each movie will be followed by a live presentation by Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Planetarium Director Dr. Tim Folkerts. The presentations will feature a tour of the night sky, hands-on activities or actual outdoor stargazing.ÌýÌý

Barton History Instructor Linda McCaffery will teach a course via Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Silver Cougar Club titled “Age of Enlightenment,†1:30-3:30 p.m. each Tuesday from Jan. 26 through April 5 in room F-129 of the Fine Arts Building.
The class will cover the splendor and paranoia of Louis XVI, the American and French Revolutions and the dictatorship of Napoleon. During this period, Spain crumbles and England rises to status as a world power, while the fledgling American Republic struggles to survive.ÌýÌý
