Barton’s Prairie Winds Concert and Jazz Bands will present a winter-themed concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The band will be performing music from various artists with Christmas music and songs of winter.

On January 8, 2018, Scales Technician classes will begin as Â鶹¹ÙÍø launches its newest program. The program is completed in one semester of vigorous training and preparing students for the weights & measures industry upon completion.

Midwest Energy, Inc. made its first donation to the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Foundation in support of the Academic Enrichment Fund Campaign 30 years ago. The Foundation once again received the annual donation like clockwork. Since September of 1987, Midwest Energy, Inc. has contributed more than $71,000 for scholarships, program development and advancement at Â鶹¹ÙÍø.

Each year, as part of the Theatre Program at Â鶹¹ÙÍø, students are asked to take the reins and produce a show entirely by themselves. This year the production is titled “Horror Movie Survival Guide†which will make its one-night debut at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Fine Arts Auditorium.
Just in time to follow up Halloween, “Horror Movie Survival Guideâ€, a comedy, looks at some of the Hollywood horror clichés and shows how these situations could be avoided by following some helpful tips.

Barton will offer transitioning Fort Riley Soldiers a grant-funded two-week certificate program at no cost to participants. The Hazardous Waste Worker (HWW) program gives Soldiers credentials to help them find work after their tenure in the US Army ends.
The next course is set from Nov. 27 through Dec. 8 at 100 Continental Ave. Grandview Plaza, KS 66441.
