Barton will host its first-ever Homeschool Opportunities Day from 12 to 4 p.m. May 2, offering homeschool families a chance to explore the many college-level options available to students in grades 9-12.
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Theatre Department will present an evening of student-directed one-act plays, including “Waterborn†by Edith Freni and “There Shall Be No Bottom†by Mark O’Donnell at 7:30 p.m. April 26 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

Those wanting to help save lives and be a part of a vital industry can apply for Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) programs now through July 31.
Barton will be closed April 18 and April 21 for Easter break. Â鶹¹ÙÍø's Center for Adult Education and the Shafer Art Gallery will also be closed. The college's regular class schedule and office hours will resume April 22.
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Music Department will host its annual Endowment Concert to raise funds for music student scholarships at 7:30 p.m. May 6 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
Barton continues to prioritize student well-being through its mental health services, a commitment which was recently recognized as Director of Counseling Services Jacquelyn “Jakki†Maser received the Kansas Counseling Association’s (KCA) Counselor of the Year award.
