The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Theatre Department will present the time-honored classic musical “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,†by Jeremy Sams, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 29 and March 1 and 2, and at 2 p.m. March 2 and 3 in the Fine Arts Auditorium, and tickets are only available in advance.

Barton has a long history of providing affordable and accessible higher education to Â鶹¹ÙÍø County for over 50 years, and thanks to a collaborative study with the Docking Institute at Fort Hays State University, the College continues to confirm the economic benefit of the college to the county.
Barton has named 245 students to the President’s List for the fall 2023 semester. To qualify for this honor students must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintained a grade point average of 4.0 on a 4.0 or "A" letter scale.

A major topic of interest in our area, especially with Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira in our area, is conserving groundwater.Ìý
Those wanting to help a great cause and catch some exciting basketball action will have the opportunity to do both as part of Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Phi Theta Kappa Chapter’s Food Drive from 2-5:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the Kirkman Gym during the Cougar basketball games, and those bringing five items or more will gain free entry.
Barton will host an informational fair about a new statewide education apprenticeship program created by the Kansas Department of Education (KSDE) from 6:30-8 p.m. on Feb. 15 in the Cavanaugh Room in the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Library, and a virtual fair will be held Feb. 26.
Barton’s Center for Adult Education will soon begin another nine-week session of classes. However, orientation days are required before starting the classes.
Barton will host a blood drive from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 23 in the Kirkman Practice Gym. Donors will receive a $20 Amazon gift card from the American Red Cross.
